Why I Painted This

Like many of my paintings, this one features a bird — in this case, a phoenix. When I started out, I often didn’t know what to draw, so I kept thinking of bird ideas for my paintings.

Most of my paintings are done in poster color, though I sometimes combine it with other media to create texture, depth, and vibrancy. This phoenix was painted in poster color with subtle mixed media elements to give the flames and feathers a glowing, energetic feel.

Capturing Rebirth and Transformation

In this painting, I imagined the phoenix rising from glowing embers, representing both endings and beginnings. The flames dance and twist around the bird, capturing the energy of destruction and creation, darkness and light.

The scene evokes resilience, renewal, and the beauty of transformation — the idea that even after collapse, something magnificent can emerge.
